    We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis, who is passionate about engaging learners and supporting them to achieve their best. The role will be linked to a Key Stage 2 pupil who requires one-to-one support.

    We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:

    • is extremely motivated, enthusiastic and creative in their approach to supporting learners in the classroom;
    • is committed to working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality support and ensure the best possible outcomes for every child;
    • has high expectations of themselves and the children they work with;
    • can work effectively within a hard-working, talented and friendly school;
    • is flexible in their approaches to meeting the needs of different learners;
    • is reflective and committed to developing their own practice;
    • has a sense of humour and sense of fun essential for working in a busy, ever-changing environment;
    • has experience working within Key Stage 2 (desirable).

     

    Criteria for the post

    • A proven record of recent experience working with primary pupils within a school setting (preferred);
    • English and Mathematics GCSE (minimum Grade C) or GCE O Level or equivalent (essential);
    • Further relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or above (preferred but not essential).
    • Has experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs (desirable);  
    • Has experience working with pupils with high academic requirements (desirable).

    Details of the role

    The commencing salary for this post will be £17,292, Grade C, Scale Point 3, based on working 30 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (Full Time Equivalent £24,796).
