Oldway Primary School is part of the Riviera Education Trust which is a multi-academy trust comprising three local primary schools. We work in collaboration with Roselands Primary School and Shiphay Learning Academy in order to benefit all of the children in the Trust. Working in partnership with other schools helps to strengthen our provision and provide educational excellence so that every pupil has the best possible learning experience and is prepared for future life.
We have an exciting opportunity to open our pool exclusively to SEND children and their families on a Saturday afternoon. We are therefore looking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Senior Lifeguard and a Lifeguard that have a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
Oldway Primary School is extremely lucky to have a modern, recently refurbished, well-equipped and heated high standard swimming pool. You will need to have good knowledge of health and safety in a swimming pool environment, and ensure these health and safety practices and standards are maintained at all times, as well as preventing hazards and accidents in and out of the pool. A professional manner and customer skills must be shown at all times.
Senior Lifeguard (role to include locking and unlocking of pool area and managing pool chemicals)
The starting salary for this role will be £1,658, which is Grade E, Scale Point 7 and based on 3 hours per week (Saturdays, 12.30pm – 3.30pm), for 38 weeks per year. (Full Time Equivalent £24,294).
The starting salary for this role will be £1,603, which is Grade D, Scale Point 5 and based on 3 hours per week (Saturdays, 12.30pm – 3.30pm), for 38 weeks per year. (Full Time Equivalent £23,500).
