Senior Finance Officer

The Trustees of Riviera Education Trust thank you for your interest in the post of Senior Finance Officer for the Trust. The successful candidate will be expected to take up this post as soon as possible to ensure training is in place with the existing post holder.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed team in a Multi Academy Trust currently including 3 schools, a Teaching School and nearly 1500 pupils. The Trust vision is: ‘Inspiring the individuals of today, for a better society tomorrow’

 

Requirements of the Post 


This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with strong accountancy skills to join a small dedicated finance team. The successful candidate will need to have achieved a relevant qualification and undertake key financial tasks. They will provide support to the Director of Finance and the team and work alongside Senior Trust staff including Heads of School.


We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the relevant skills backed up by experience, with an eye for detail and accuracy; who preferably have some experience of working with school financial accounting packages. Applicants should be mindful of relating their skills/ qualifications / experience to the person specification when completing their application.


The post is primarily based at Oldway Primary School with a requirement to visit other schools and liaise with Heads of School/Senior Trust staff (subject to pertaining COVID guidance and restrictions)

 

Salary 
The working hours are 22 hours per week, for 42 weeks per year. The commencing salary will be £17,677 which is Grade I, Scale point 28 (Full Time Equivalent £32,234). 

 

This post is not regarded as term time only due to the timings of payroll, financial returns and management accounts information, the post holder is expected to work approximately 3 weeks at least during school holiday periods.

 

There is scope to access systems from home e.g. during school holidays and to work across 3 - 5 days per week subjecting to meeting work deadlines.
