    Roselands Primary School, part of the Riviera Education Trust, is looking for a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Mealtime Assistant. This role is crucial in supporting children during lunchtime, ensuring their safety, well-being, and creating a positive and enjoyable dining experience.

    Roselands Primary School is part of the Riviera Education Trust, which is a multi-academy trust comprising three local primary schools: Roselands Primary School, Shiphay Learning Academy and Oldway Primary School. We work in collaboration with Oldway Primary School and Shiphay Learning Academy in order to benefit all the children in the Trust. Working in partnership with other schools helps to strengthen our provision and provide educational excellence so that every pupil has the best possible learning experience and is prepared for future life.

    The Mealtime Assistant team is made up of friendly and professional individuals who work together to create a safe and enjoyable environment during lunch times. With ongoing training provided throughout the year, many team members have the opportunity to progress into other roles within the school, should they choose to.

    Key responsibilities for this role will include:
    • Actively supervising children during playtime by circulating throughout the playground;
    • Assisting and supporting children in the Dining Hall;
    • Supervising children in designated indoor areas during wet weather;
    • Attending to minor accidents and reporting any concerns or incidents to the Head.
    Details of the role

    The working hours for this position are 1.5 hours per day, Monday - Friday, from 11:45 - 13:15. The starting salary is £4,165 per annum (£24,413 FTE), NJC Grade B, Scale Point 2. This is based on 7.5 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.
