My family have been attending Oldway since the 1940s and, now that my daughter is the 4th generation, I feel that becoming a Governor is the perfect way to give something back to the school. I became a parent Governor because I have a great interest in this school. I attended Oldway in the late 70's, my older daughters attended in the 90's and my youngest daughter is here now. I've seen many changes and improvements. I love the positive attitude of all the staff.
I am always keen to involve parents in our children's education as I believe their learning continues at home

Welcome to our Governors’ section

The Local Standards Board (LSB) is responsible for monitoring standards and school improvement within Oldway school. They hold school leaders to account and report back to the trustees of Riviera Education Trust.
At Oldway Primary School, our LSB meets at least three times throughout the school year and governors will often spend time in school to monitor school improvement and standards at a local level.
"Governors are part of the overall system of school accountability. They have a vital role to play in driving up school and pupil performance and ensuring every child receives the best possible education."
