Level 2 Teaching Assistant (Oldway)

The Trustees of Riviera Education Trust and Governors of Oldway Primary School thank you for your interest in the posts of Level 2 Teaching Assistant at our Outstanding school.
Due to maternity leave, we are seeking a full-time teaching assistant from Monday 21st March 2022 until 31st August 2022. This is a replacement, fixed term post in year 4 until the end of the academic year with the possibility of extension or a permanent post for the next academic year.
The post is class-based in the mornings in one of the year 4 classes supporting teaching and learning through guided work under the direction of the class teacher, and the afternoon involves supporting a child's medical needs. Training will be provided. In this role you will be well-supported by the class teachers and teaching assistants in the year team and the year leader, along with specialists within the school's inclusion team: SENCO, Family Support Worker, pastoral team, SEN teacher, Assistant Heads and Head of School. Recent KS2 or other primary experience is essential, as well as an understanding of the English and maths curriculum.

The starting salary will be £11,814, which is Grade C, Scale Point 3 and based on 27.5 hours per week (8.45am - 15.15pm Monday to Friday), for 39 weeks per year. (Full Time Equivalent £18,562).
