Casual Cleaner

Opportunity to join the Shiphay Learning Academy Site Team
Casual Cleaner Required 7.5-10 hours per week from 1st June 2020


We are looking for an additional member of staff to join our Premises Team to support with cleaning duties during the lunch break.


The ideal candidate for this role will be:

  • Hardworking
  • An efficient, precise worker with an eye for detail
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to work under their own initiative within policy expectations
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change
  • Physically fit in order to meet the demands of the role
  • Someone with experience of cleaning in a public environment (preferable but not essential)
  • Someone with knowledge of COSHH (preferable but not essential as training will be provided)


In order to support infection control and the hard work of our existing cleaning team, we require an additional cleaner who is able to commit to 1.5-2 hours in the middle of each day (Monday to Friday). This will allow areas such as toilets, corridors and door handles to be cleaned and disinfected before the beginning of afternoon school.


The post is a temporary, casual one and will be reviewed monthly.
