Are you organised, friendly, and eager to start a career in school administration? Roselands Primary School is seeking an Admin Support Apprentice to join our busy and welcoming office team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment while working towards a recognised qualification, delivered in conjunction with South Devon College.

As an apprentice, you will be supported to develop a wide range of administrative and customer service skills, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. You will be part of a supportive and professional team, contributing to a positive first impression for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to pupils, parents, visitors, and staff;
  • Answer telephone and email enquiries efficiently and courteously;
  • Support administrative functions such as attendance, communication systems, post, and general office tasks;
  • Assist with pupil record-keeping, DBS checks, and other safeguarding procedures;
  • Provide administrative support to the Head of School and Senior Office Administrator;
  • Gain experience using digital systems such as Arbor, ParentPay, and Seesaw.

Position details:

Hours:  30 hours per week (inclusive of day release for college)  08.30 - 15.30 (1 hour for lunch)
Weeks:   39 weeks per year
Salary:    £7.55 per hour during the first year of the apprenticeship, regardless of age. Annual salary: £10,158.52 (based on contracted hours and weeks per year)
Closing date:  Monday, 1 December 2025 @ 09.00
Start date:  January 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
