1:2 Teaching Assistant

You will support learning and teaching for 2 children within our EYFS environment to meet their specific learning needs. A key aspect of the role will be to support both children with their personal, social and emotional development, encouraging them to form positive relationships with their peers, adjust to new routines and develop curiosity and independence within the classroom. You will be expected to support and deliver a personalised learning plan, enabling the children to progress in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Creativity, flexibility and good initiative are key skills essential for engaging the children in their learning environment. You will be required to monitor, assess pupil progress and report on progress to class teachers.
Roselands Primary School is part of the Riviera Education Trust which is a multi-academy trust consisting of three local primary schools: Roselands Primary School, Shiphay Learning Academy and Oldway Primary School. We work in collaboration with Oldway Primary School and Shiphay Learning Academy in order to benefit all of the children in the Trust. Working in partnership with other schools helps to strengthen our provision and provide educational excellence so that every pupil has the best possible learning experience and is prepared for future life.
The working hours are 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Monday - Friday 8.45am - 15.15pm). The starting salary will be £12,888 which is Grade C, Scale Point 3, for 39 weeks per year (Full Time Equivalent £18,562).
